The ITR-R is the Income Tax Return for Resident companies filed with the Kenya Revenue Authority. All companies with a KRA PIN and income tax obligation must file this return annually to report their financial position, income, deductions, and tax liability.
The corporate tax rate in Kenya is 30%. Late filing attracts a minimum penalty of KSh 20,000 or 5% of tax due, whichever is higher. The return is filed via the iTax system at itax.kra.go.ke.
