Form CIT 001 is the Companies Income Tax Return filed with the Federal Inland Revenue Service. All companies with a taxable presence in Nigeria must file this return annually to report corporate income, deductions, tax computations, capital allowances, and withholding tax credits.

The corporate tax rate ranges from 0% to 30%, tiered by turnover. New companies must file within 18 months from incorporation or 6 months after the accounting year-end, whichever is earlier. Returns are filed via the TaxPro Max portal at taxpromax.firs.gov.ng.
