The EMP201 is the Monthly Employer Declaration in which employers declare total payroll payments together with allocations for PAYE (Pay As You Earn), SDL (Skills Development Levy), UIF (Unemployment Insurance Fund), and ETI (Employment Tax Incentive) if applicable.
A unique Payment Reference Number (PRN) is pre-populated on each form. Manual EMP201 submissions are no longer accepted — electronic submission via SARS eFiling or the e@syFile Employer application is mandatory.
