Form ITF 12 is the annual income tax return filed by limited companies in Malawi with the Malawi Revenue Authority. It declares all taxable income, allowable deductions, and tax liability for the year of assessment at 30% for resident companies or 35% for branches of foreign companies.
Late filing attracts a fixed penalty of MWK 300,000 plus MWK 50,000 for each additional month outstanding. Late payment incurs 20% of the outstanding amount in the first month, plus interest at bank lending rate plus 5% per annum. Filing can be done via the Msonkho Online portal at eservices.mra.mw.
